            Christ Church C.E. (VC)

  Primary School, Skipton

"Christ Church Church of England primary is outstanding...A genuine, caring education

makes a big difference to the lives of the pupils and their families. Its contribution to community cohesion is excellent. It provides outstanding levels of care and pastoral

support with excellent inclusion and equality of opportunity for all pupils...It is not by

chance that they typically remark that at this school, 'The whole child is taken

into account’ and that children ‘make great strides in their confidence

and learning'...innovative approaches to curriculum planning provide an excellent

array of rich and memorable experiences." Ofsted 2011

Christ Church Primary School is a five mixed age class school set in the beautiful market town of Skipton, the gateway to the Dales. Our children join us in their Reception year and move on at the end of Year 6 to either

the Grammar Schools or local high schools. We currently have 140 pupils on roll and our class sizes are kept small.

We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that all our pupils reach their full potential and we offer a creative and well balanced curriculum to support each child on their unique learning journey. We have a firm, fair and consistent policy for rewards and behaviour which ensures that all children feel safe, respected and valued and receive recognition for their many successes. Our staff and our Governors are talented, dedicated and caring and the 'Open Door' policy of the school means we all share together with you in the life of the school, as we strive to make Christ Church Church of England Primary School a welcoming, caring and successful school.

You can keep up to date with our latest news on our Calendar and Letters page and see the range of extra-curricular opportunities we offer. We also welcome feedback from our 'virtual visitors', so please feel free to leave us a comment on our Guestbook.
